Consumers’ Right to Know (Country of Origin of Food) Bill – First Reading – Video 6

Thank You mr. Speaker I call stuart-smith Thank You mr. speaker can I begin by congratulating my colleague stiffened browning who who is one of my constituents so he’s from the great electorate of cocoa and lived lives and Mogra based in more of it I think Stefan who has decided not to run for the next election I think it’s a really fitting note for you to go out on stiff endeavor a bill in your name drawn and this far out from election hopefully it’ll go quite a long way through the process before you leave I know that you are very passionate about these issues and it’s a great pleasure to be able to speak in favor of this bill I not only support it because initial supporting it I support it because I believe in it myself and I think it’s a fantastic piece of legislation so or potential legislation and I look forward taking it to the Select Committee where there will be no doubt some debate but it’s certainly not the aim to be a watering down but I’m no doubt we’ll have to ensure the thing works and and and that’s what the whole process of the Select Committee is for and I think you know no doubt you’ll have a lot of input there sniffing and I’m looking forward to it and we might even not mr. Prosser into shape and get them sort of sorted out as well at the same time but and so yeah well i think i can drop the Honourable member the time has come to me my system for me to leave the chief for the dinner break members this debate is interrupted and I sure zoom the cheer at seven-thirty [Music]
