BUT JUST ONE QUESTION, IF YOU MADE THE DEBT SHOULDN'T YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IT? I MEAN, YOU MADE THE DEBT…PEOPLE KEEP SCREAMING ABOUT BEING RESPECTED AS AN ADULT AND TREATED LIKE A MAN/WOMAN. PAYING FOR YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES IS A BIG PART OF BEING AN ADULT. PLUS, IT WOULD BE A MUCH BETTER MORE RESPONSIBLE THING TO TELL PEOPLE TO DON'T MAKE THE DEBT IF YOU CAN'T AFFORD IT AND MAYBE HOW NOT TO GET INTO DEBT. DEBT DOESN'T DISAPPEAR, SOMEONE HAS TO PAY FOR IT.

I beat tha shiat out of a collection agency in court all by my self with no lawyer, they claimed I owed them $14,000 dollars. My nuclear weapon in court was very simple! quote! Your Honor! Do you have a pen handy? he answered yes! Ok, I want you to write this down, then I spelled the Law name to Him and he wrote it down! OK! Your Honor are you aware of that Law. he said yes. Ok! ME: This people (collection agencies) are in the business of buying none performing debt for pennies on the dollar, which makes it a toxic waste investment there fore they create their own wound! and Your Honor! that law that I asked you to write down clearly states that NO BODY IS ENTITLE TO COMPENSATION ON A SELF INFLICTED WOUND CORRECT? The Judge get his wood hammer bangs it on his desk and said! This case goes to the defendant! ME: Thanks you your honer! LMAO. I was nervous AF********( I was the last one in the court room and watch allot of defendants loosing their case and all of them had a lawyer representing them. We went at it back and fort between the Judge the collection agency's lawyer and me for around 2 hours. all this happened in California LA to be exact. I think I still have the file some ware in my shed. Salud!

I recently got a recorded message that was speaking to me as if Iโ€™d answered. It went on and on and said โ€œhang up if you are not (my name).โ€ It said โ€œby listening to this you have acknowledged that you are (my name.โ€ So they just called and left a message intended for me without knowing itโ€™s actually me, and telling me that by them leaving a message Iโ€™ve admitted who I am. Can they get in trouble for disclosing my debt info on a message without verifying itโ€™s me?

  • FlexKami

I owe my University 9k before I can go back. I never started a payment plan so now it's in collection. They added 3k onto it and now they keep blowing my phone up. Unfortunately I'm just seeing this video now instead of last week so I already admitted to who I am over the phone last week.

  • x Vazqlover

Ok to clear things out… but at the end, arent you still legally responsible to pay the balance or it clears out overall after dispute? The collection agencies knows your social sec number and stuff.

I've got a debt that's passed the time limit where it should be taken off but of course it's still on my credit. Is there any way I can speed this up? Also, there's a bill under my name for a phone company, but I really shouldn't have a bill with them. I tried to dispute but nothing happened. How can I inquire about this without them commiting my file as active?

  • Jesus Marrero

to start off by saying thank you so much for your videos they are so helpful and insightful much blessings to you and your family I have a question hopefully you can help me I recently received a letter from a company saying that I owe $1,180 the original company is flexshopper in 2015 I finance some computers through them but to my knowledge I paid everything back because I was directly taken out my checking account but on the letter it's self it says charged off amount it seems like they're trying to collect a debt that's already been charged off they're asking me to write a letter within 30 days to either dispute or validate the debt what should I do

  • bestsmall country

Great advice, and reaffirmation of what I'm already doing in response to an "opportunistic invoice". They can chase me with all the costs that that involves. It won't be worth their while… meanwhile I'm as quiet as a fish!

  • Lisa McDonald

Well, it's 9 am and I already learned something new. Man, I did not know it worked like that. Now I understand why collection companies are relentless in harassing folks.

  • A Little

If you have already admitted to the debt or cant dispute it, call the company and make a 50% offer to have a "Full Delete".. this just worked for 2 large account on mine. One was Verizon for 1200 (paid 400 full delete). I've brought my credit from 535 2 yrs ago to a 740ish now. Just got approved for saphire card and 18k limit! Wooohooo.. finally feel like an adult again!

  • joshua martinez

Dont know if I asked already but just got a collection just hitting my score..and know 2 more will be hitting soon..should I dispute as they hit as fast as possible or wait till till they all hit..and dispute all at once

Not all collection agencies buy accounts lol ๐Ÿ˜‚
Mainly the ones that have accounts assigned to them,
that have the ability to file suite against you to put an Assigned Judgment against you and issue a garnishment court ordered.. sure donโ€™t answer and donโ€™t pay on a debt you Occur and received services on.

My husband and I were trying to qualify for a mortgage loan and two of the bureaus are not providing a score, I have purchased things with credit off and on for the past 5 years so I suspect that somehow they have mixed up with someone else. I keep asking myself most time, what kinds of documents license and social security card would i send to expedite this process which make me worried most time. I also though of recommending by sending it as a request for a free report before i came across SWIFTHACKGENIUS at gmail dot com service through a friend i met from a Quora forum. My Credit score finally boost up to 790+ across the bureaus within 5 business days after receiving notification from the company that i have qualify for the mortgage loan and all my debt has been cleared. Guys iโ€™m glad to review this service from him and anyone who need his assistance should contact him right here

  • G K

how about just man up and pay the money that you owe and stop being a piece of shit trying to game the system and causing everyone elses interest rates to go up to cover the losses caused by all the other pieces of shit doing the same thing. If you write a bad check you go to jail should be the same thing for swiping a CC knowing dam well you aint gonna pay it back. theyll settle out for a fraction of the total amount

What happens if a person says that itโ€™s him on the phone but says that he doesnโ€™t know anything about the debt? Is that still admission?

I had this extremely rude woman name off a postal mail box I had 12 years ago , I said that was my PO box 12 years ago , but I never owned the vehicle they allege I owned.
They Google you and see an old address that was yours and you say yes that was my mail box that somehow makes you the owner of a vehicle you never owned??

  • Fawn Thomas

    Donโ€™t pay? Okay.
Turns around: theyโ€™re garnishing my wages, they put a lien on my home, they sued my ass. Thanks, ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ™„

@keeping it real with Credit : I had a 500$ balance from T-Mobile which was sent to the collections after like almost 2 years when I switched my line to Verizon, t mobile didnโ€™t even bother or send me any kind of notice or lette that I owe money. T mobile says this amount was because of the fact that we Violated the contract in between which i donthink I did. Because we asked them if I owed them any balance while a transfer of line to Verizon, they clearly stated there was no balance. Right after almost 2 years now they say I owe them.
Like you mentioned I received multiple calls from a collections agency out of la. I did accept the fact that it was me on the call and they asked me to pay by providing me a 20% discount of the total balance I did agreee to it, but I still donโ€™t want to make this payment. Itโ€™s absolutely vague and just not right.
I have engaged and filed a dispute with credit karma aswell they say everything is right and I need to make the payment.
Could you please suggest why else could be done to avoid making this payment?

Thank you so much in adnavnce

    Pay your bills losers
    live within your means
    build credit
    buy appreciating assets (houses, stocks)
minimize depreciating asset costs (CARS, JEWELRY, CLOTHES, PHONES)
climb the ladder and stop blaming others for your failures
…This guys video is small thinking. If you don't build credit, you will always be at the bottom of the ladder.
As you build a future, at some point, you will require loans and credit if you want to live BIG.

In order to get a loan from your bank you must pay past debt. Collection debt is debt you owe without interest. Collection debt from the companies that report to credit bureaus is in their collection. Not always do they go to an outside collection office. Different states actually have different formats. Bad debt stays on your credit up to 16 yrs. In hiring debt consolidation you actually paying more even after right offs. Check your state rules & provisions. Do your own research in your own state. Good luck & God Bless.

Thanks for the info.. However, I left an apartment complex in 2016 becuz I lost my job, and needed to move 4/employment. I told them the situation and they still continue to write 2-3x the amt owed on my credit report.

I called to dispute items, (w the credit agencies), admitted I did leave and why, told them the amt stated was incorrect. Now, according to the bureau, the complex stated the โ€œamt was correct.โ€

So, should I call the Apt complex myself to make a settlement? Or, is it in my best interest to call debt relief agency (who helped in the past)?

I really need out of my current apartment (in which Iโ€™ve spent over $50K not owning a blade of grass), and into a home.

I donโ€™t trust โ€œanyโ€ realtor becuz of past disloyal realtor/friend relationship which has held me prisoner for 4 years. Iโ€™ve paid off โ€œeverything,โ€ else..
    Well over $25K

My understanding is I need to show 2 years positive (40K up), โ€œincome taxโ€ to buy a home? Is that true? My credit score is 662.
    Any suggestions?

You know why there's so many thumbs down for this video?! Because it's not great advice, in my opinion. Now, I'm not a lawyer so this is not legal advice, but here are the things I learned from my personal debt experience: If it's a legitimate collector with a legitimate account and you ignore them, you WILL be sued and possibly have wage garnishments or a lien against your property. Your choices on a legitimate debt are: negotiate a payment plan with them, contact a credit consolidation company–NOT credit restoration (consolidation puts all your debt into one payment), roll the dice in court, maybe file for bankruptcy, or pay them outright. If you feel the debt collector misrepresented themselves of broke any FDCPA laws, contact a consumer lawyer to deal with them. A lot of the times, it's free for them to represent you. As with everything in life, do your own research to check everything out for yourself, but this is what I can tell you from my personal experience.

  • HEAT SMITH

I was recouping from a car accident. A relative used my credit cards ran up to the limit, maxed all my credit cards. When I was able to check this out. I didn't charge all these cards. Had to file bankruptcy. So now I have T-Mobile after me that I didn't sign for, did not go in store and purchase phone with them. They were not on bankruptcy list The collection company called told them as I disputed with T-mobile. Do not have phone with them. it was fraud on my credit cards I didn't charge these items nor sign for a phone. Also my family member cashed a check for my car for over 15,000.00. Kept the money. Do not have money for a attorney. But for God so good i was introduce to a Russian hacker called Vlahd who magically make payments on my credit cards for me, the payments didn't reverse and he also fixed my credit, raising my credit score from 448 to 811, thanks to Vlahd, he's a helper and I can't thank him enough, you can contact him vlahdmahrk @ gmail. com/567393 3031 for credit fixing and credit card payment or bank account huge money funding, he's just so professional. Thank me later.,,
