If we had stayed in the United States, I think we never would have done what we’ve done here. My name is Evan and I grew up in upstate New York. I’m an educated musician, which qualifies me to drink a lot of beer. And when I met this beautiful lady here, we moved to Norway. The combination of my passion for brewing and her sense for business, her background in finance. We were able to build something together. A wise person once said, you build up the people, and the people build up the organization. And the people that we have in our organization, are very experienced and educated. They’re bringing a lot to our business. So why did I hire a robot? I hired a robot for the same reason I’ve made lots of choices in the business. I don’t want to wear my people out. And Claus told me that if we hadn’t gotten the robot, he would have eventually left the job. Quality is about every step in the process. Also about how the product is packaged, and how it is stacked on a pallet. And how it’s handled after that. I knew approximately nothing about the Pally software when we decided to order a robot. Our requirement was very simple. That case of beer needs to go on that pallet, along with the other 98 cases in the right pattern, in the right place every time. The beauty of the installation when the robot was installed and it came time to program the software. It was done very, very quickly. So in just a matter of hours, we had cases going on pallets as they should. In Northern mythology Ægir was the brewer to the gods. He had the world’s biggest brewing kettle. He was a great host, and that’s what we try and be to our guests. I liked beer from the time I was a small child. My dad would give me the first sip out of his beer and I remember I always loved it. The bitterness and the flavor and the carbonation and everything. So obviously I was destined to do this.
