Republicans BEG Supreme Court To Force Trump To Hand Over His Tax Returns

A group of 37 Republicans have sent a brief to the United States Supreme court asking the court to rule in favor of the Manhattan district attorney’s office and force Donald Trump to turn over his tax returns. Finally, these 37 Republicans include former law makers, former members of the executive branch, and of course to nobody’s surprise George Conway and John Dean to Republicans who are really not fans of Trump. And they’re demanding that the Supreme court, they’re begging that the Supreme court does the right thing and agrees that the president has to comply with the investigation taking place in New York. Now, in case anybody forgot,…

Doctors Say Medicare For All Is The Best System For America

Earlier this week, The Hill ran an op-ed by a physician here in the United States and this physician actually made the case as to why Medicare For All is the best possible system for the United States moving forward and more importantly, why a public option is basically trash. The doctor laid out three points. First and foremost, a public option does not lead to universal healthcare or savings, and that is true. As I have said in the past, if the government offers a program, but that program is not universal for everybody, and that program has a budget that comes up every year for a vote, because…

Ivanka Trump & Marco Rubio Team Up To Draft Amazingly Awful Legislation

According to reports, Ivanka Trump, a woman who knows absolutely nothing whatsoever about American policy is teaming up with Marco Rubio, a guy who probably also knows very little about American policy, to come up with a paid parental leave plan that can then be enacted on the federal level. Now on the surface that actually looks like a good thing, in spite of the fact that we have two of the dumbest people in DC working on it, you know? We need paid parental leave, guaranteed paid parental leave in the United States. So, what’s the problem with these two working together? Well, the problem is the fact that…

Donald Trump’s 6 Month Report Card: 991 Tweets, 836 Lies, 0 Legislative Accomplishments

Today marks the sixth month anniversary of Donald Trump being sworn in as president of the United States. So six months into his first term, let’s take a look at where he actually stands amongst other presidents that have served in this capacity. Now, Trump has claimed on several different occasions that he has accomplished more in his first six months than anyone else who has ever held that office. First of all, completely not true, we discussed that last week. But more importantly, not only has he accomplished less than his predecessors, he’s spent more time on vacation during the first six months than his predecessors, he has tweeted…

Judge Says Obama & Trump Violated Constitution With Border Patrol Holding Facilities

A federal judge in Arizona this week issued a stunning rebuke and condemnation of both the former Obama administration and the current Trump administration, when this judge ruled that the conditions in which migrants are being held at a Tucson customs and border patrol holding facility were in fact unconstitutional. Unconstitutional because we are depriving them of things like sanitary conditions, you know, personal hygiene items. We’re depriving them of sleep by not giving them blankets, not giving them clothing, not giving them mats to sleep on. They can sleep on the cold concrete floor. And the judge said this is unconstitutional and it’s important to point out, once again,…

Trump May Have Screwed Himself With Retaliatory Investigations

Well, it’s been a pretty interesting ride since Donald Trump was officially acquitted by the Senate and Trump and some of his allies have suggested that there’s going to be retaliatory investigations into some, some of Donald Trump’s political enemies. Maybe Adam Schiff, you know, maybe Jerry Nadler. Definitely Joe Biden, right? Joe and Hunter Biden are definitely going to get investigated. I mean, Lindsay Graham told us that they’re going to have their Senate committees start working on the Biden issue. Not all Republicans are on board, but they really don’t have much choice, Lindsey Graham is going to force it. Donald Trump is working closely with Rudy Giuliani…

Sean Spicer Can’t Name A Single Legislative Accomplishment From Trump – The Ring Of Fire

We’re a little more than a week away from Donald Trump’s 100-day mark of his time in office as the President of the United States. Yesterday during the White House press briefing, Sean Spicer was asked point-blank, “What do you think Donald Trump’s biggest legislative accomplishment has been in these 100 days? What kind of accomplishment should he be boasting about to the public?” Sean Spicer could not answer that question because I guess according to Sean Spicer, Donald Trump has accomplished approximately nothing since becoming President of the United States. Now, Spicer did talk about some of Trump’s executive orders, you know, I guess the ones that weren’t overturned…

New Legislation Could End Big Pharma’s Price Gouging In America

Big Pharma’s price gouging is finally on the radar for our elected officials, but will new legislation be able to overcome the massive money that drug companies give both to Democrats and Republicans? They don’t favor either one. That’s what’s so interesting about his story. Okay, so Jeff Merkley, who I really love this guy. Yeah. You know, he’s from Oregon. I actually, for some reason I got on his email list. Do you get his emails? No I don’t. Yeah, he emails me and he will be, you know, where the campaign sends out information, this guy is brilliant. He’s one of the few people that backed Bernie. Remember…

Democrats Draft Legislation To Limit Trump’s Nuclear Weapon Access – The Ring Of Fire

On January 24th, Senator Ed Markey and Representative Ted Lieu put forth a combined effort legislation called the Restricting First Use of Nuclear Weapons Act of 2016. Lieu introduced it in the House. Markey introduced it in the Senate. What this legislation would do is limit Donald Trump’s ability to fire nuclear weapons, expressly forbidding the President from launching a nuclear strike unless Congress had declared an act of war. This means that if this legislation were to pass and get signed by the President, which it almost certainly will not, it would limit Donald Trump. He couldn’t just fly off the handle one day, as he’s prone to do,…

Voters From All Parties Want Congress To Push PROGRESSIVE Legislation

According to new poll conducted by politico, the majority of Americans, both Democrats and Republicans believe that a top priority for Congress should be finding ways to lessen the student loan debt burden here in the United States and also increasing funding for k through 12 public education majority’s very strong majorities of both parties, including independence, a believe that those should be priorities for Congress, reducing student loan debt and giving more money to our schools, and the reason I’m bringing that up is because this is just the latest in what is becoming a very long line of polling data that shows that the majority of people in…
